Ian Silvester

Ian has 20 years Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management and Business Continuity Management experience. He has worked in-house within the UK retail and hospitality industries, establishing, developing and evaluating controls across organisations.

Working within the Advisory Team, Ian leads Internal Audit engagements, across a range of sectors, including Government and a Power Utility. In addition, Ian manages the day to day aspects of Client engagement, including the delivery of the Internal Audit programmes, development of Internal Audit methodologies with Clients and providing training to new members of the Team.

Ian provides specialist resilience support, including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management. He leads BCM reviews, working with Clients across a range of sectors and sizes. Ian provides Governance, Risk and Controls support to Clients in addition to investigative support.

Ian has a background in management, programming, and planning complex audit projects. He has served clients in Government agencies, Education, Manufacturing, Power Utilities, Health Care and Charity Sectors. 

He also has experience in planning and execution of internal audits, process analysis, documentation and testing, identification of control weaknesses, evaluation of the internal control environment and elaboration of recommendations, including PCI-DSS reviews in a leading UK Hospitality Retailer.
