Samuel Muhwati

Originally from Zimbabwe, Samuel is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) and has previously worked for Big 4 audit firms in Jersey and in his home country. He has over 10 years’ experience in accounting and auditing and is mainly responsible for providing audit services to a wide variety of regulated and unregulated clients in the financial services sector.

As a Manager he has been seconded for a significant amount of time to one of BDO’s major clients largely involved in real estate across a number of jurisdictions. He has therefore amassed invaluable experience in financial reporting, taxation and business restructuring.
Furthermore, he plays a key role in ensuring that risk management and auditing processes are carried out successfully with particular emphasis on alignment with audit methodology.

He is well-acquainted with UK GAAP, IFRS accounting standards, ISAs (UK) and keeps up to date with any changes in accounting rules and regulations. In addition, he is passionate about coaching subordinates, business development and training staff to reach their full potential.
